What’s the difference between Utilizing a Coach and Talking to a Therapist?

The difference between Utilizing a Coach versus Talking to a Therapist is vastly different. In my experience therapist are great at hearing you out and giving recommendations. As a Coach, I come alongside you and not only help to Access your inner calling, your wounds, your inner desire for change, but I help you Facilitate the How in the What. It’s not only my job to Listen to you but to Guide you, Provide you with Tools and Hold you Accountable for the Change you seek.

Lastly, as a Coach, I do not Diagnose you or Prescribe you medication. It is my job to meet you where are and help you get to where you want to be.

Why shouldn’t I just take medication?

To be honest, I’m not a big fan of medication. However, I do understand medication is sometimes needed. Medication is not the Cure to your problem. Medication should be used as the ointment, the band aid to your issue, while you are unpacking and healing the root cause of your issues. Coaching is a beneficial part within your treatment, to rid yourself of medications you may not need after sifting through your rubble.

How does it work? What do I have to do in sessions?

All Coaching and Yoga sessions are customized to the need of my clients. There are no cookie cutter approaches here at A Peace of Mine. You are Unique and Valuable, and your sessions will compliment your uniqueness.

    How long will it take?

Unfortunately, this is not possible to say in a general FAQs page. Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them and the length of time coaching can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek coaching in the first place.
